Uncle D?
Four years after The Pork Shop was founded in 2005, a secret hidden sausage recipe was given in the will of our long lost Great Uncle Dave (who was a Cumbrian butcher), addressed to The Gardner Family of Poulton-Le-Fylde. After many years of perfecting, in 2007, Uncle D’s sausage was born. From there, it hit The Shop counters and became locally grown and globally known for its premium quality and flavour.

Uncle D's sausage?
It’s a large, succulent-flavoured and moreish sausage. Filled with a blend of 10 carefully chosen herbs and spices (known by only two people in the world). We’re proud to say that this has developed from a secret family sausage recipe to an array of totally delicious products – including Uncle D’s pork pies, sausage rolls, chipolatas and burgers.
Uncle D’s, with its popular and growing sales, became a significant aspect of the business. As a result, The Pork Shop expanded its operations by opening seven company-owned franchise stores in the north-west region. With each new store, the business refined its model and now plans to offer Uncle D’s as a franchise opportunity to other interested individuals who want to be a part of the successful venture.
